The Detail Design and Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Study for the replacement of the Highway 401 / Wilson Road overpass (Contract A) and the reconstruction of the Highway 401 Bloor Street / Harmony Road interchange (Contract B) commenced in March 2021.

Construction for Contract A commenced in Fall 2024 and is expected to be completed in 2027.  The timeline for Contract B construction is still being confirmed and will be coordinated with the Region of Durham’s planned realignment and widening of Bloor Street from east of Harmony Road to Grandview Street. The construction of Contract B is anticipated in 2028 as per the Ontario Highways Program.
